Development of People with Disability (PWD)

• Development of People with Disability (PWD): The disabled persons were categorically organized as special SHG groups and provide Community Based Rehabilitation services. The essential services of prevention of discrimination, prevention of disability, economic empowerment, political empowerment, facilitating attaining of government disabled schemes and benefits. 34 disabled adults are empowered on self-management and economic opportunities through training and credit access and management from local banking institutions. 21 disabled adult and adolescents were supported with mobility bicycle and 213 children supported with uniform, books, and school bags. National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation, Govt. of India supported a micro-finance that has benefited 32 disabled in economic empowerment and revolving loans through micro-enterprises.
